Abstract
Esperanto is proposed as a solution to the problems of cost and misunderstanding occasioned by international language barriers. It is considered to be especially applicable in science and industry, where its simplicity, accuracy of expression, and universality are particularly significant. The author describes the advantages of Esperanto in such applications, and the efforts of one local section IEEE to encourage the inclusion of Esperanto in engineering curricula.
