Abstract :
Several recent correspondents have mentioned that they´d like the Transactions to include information about the profession. A reasonable request … but short of telling you my own status and salary (which I don´t discuss any more than I discuss my weight!), I haven´t got much information on the subject. Would anyone out there like to make a contribution in this regard? A paper, or just a few paragraphs for the Forum? In the meantime, there´s this….
