Abstract
Electrical safety is important every day. So why do we celebrate May as Electrical Safety Month? In fact, this celebration can be reasonably thought of as a significant legacy from dedicated engineering, electrical, and business professionals. In May, we can achieve perspective by reexamining the consequences of safety advances as we ask, "Is our electrical safety program the right size to meet our organization\´s needs? Do our technical specifications limit our risks?" Most importantly, in May, we can find contributions to add to the global inheritance of electrical safety for the next generation. Today\´s narratives might enable employees yet to be hired to better appreciate the reasons behind instructions like "test before touch every time." The memories that are not lost could be as influential as new ideas still to be discovered.
