Comments on `Existence of one-dimensional perfect binary arrays´

For the original article see ibid., vol.23, no.24, p.1277-8 (1987). In a recent letter Y.Y. Xian claims to have proved that the only perfect binary sequence has length four. The commenter maintains that this proof is incorrect. He explains why this is so and constructs a counterexample to support his case
