Abstract :
Arcsine(x) can be generated by a hard limiter. Typically, this function phase modulates two carriers which then form drive signals for LINC amplifiers. As an alternative, the same limiter can provide the quadrature component of the drive signals while the in-phase component can be formed by simple amplitude modulation or by the narrowband signal that it is desired to amplify. The method is simple in principle and a phase modulator is not required
