Abstract :
A very low crosstalk N×N wavelength router construction using 1×N arrayed-waveguide grating multi/demultiplexers is described. A crosstalk level of <-53 dB has been measured in such an 8×8 wavelength router. Even a 64×64 wavelength router can be built with a large crosstalk margin
