Abstract :
The authors report the generation of wavelength-tunable, nearly transform-limited pulses by external CW injection seeding and fibre compression of a gain-switched Fabry-Perot semiconductor laser. Nearly transform-limited, ~6ps pulses with a time-bandwidth product of ~0.6 have been obtained over a tuning range of ~10 nm
