Abstract
The Laplacian ECG provides enhanced lateral spatial resolution in relating the body surface ECG recordings to the underlying myocardial electrical sources. This article reviews recent research activities associated with theoretical and experimental investigations of Laplacian ECGs. The emphasis is put on theoretical interpretation and recording techniques of this new ECG measurement, with representative examples illustrating the potential applications of the Laplacian ECG.
