Abstract :
The BERKOM project, which represents the largest broadband ISDN (BISDN) field trial in the world, is discussed. The objectives of the field trial are outlined. Three aspects of the test network are then addressed: system concept, system extension, and system experience. Tests demonstrated that the overall system performance met all requirements for telecommunication applications.<>
