Abstract
Broadside arrays have found many interesting applications in the development of radiolocation, especially for wavelengths of about 1¿ m. The present paper outlines some of the properties of such arrays, and shows how the choice of array is related to the operational requirements for some of the radiolocation stations designed for the R.A.F. Particular attention is given to the arrays used for low-flying cover on coastal sites, C.H.L., and those for the ¿ground control of interception¿. G.C.I., and several arrays and associated feeder systems are described in detail.
