Abstract :
The mechanism that causes seismic activity and the two types of wave generated are described. The nature of long-, medium-, and short-term prediction is examined. The forecasting of earthquakes by animals, who forecast earthquakes at intervals ranging from three months down to about one minute, is examined, and the physiological factors that could account for it are discussed.<>
