Abstract :
A frequency response method is presented for the simplification of linear multivariable systems. The method uses the properties of the characteristic loci and characteristic vectors of a transfer function matrix, with coefficients expressed in rational fractions of s, under analytic perturbation. Among other advantages, the order of the reduced model can be prespecified and certain dynamical retained.
