Abstract :
Utilizing state-of-the-art TES detector arrays, the SAFARI imaging spectrometer onboard the Japanese SPICA mission will take maximum advantage of a deeply cooled 3m class space telescope, offering the far-infrared astronomical community unprecedented sensitivity, and mapping efficiency, in the 34-210 μm wavelength range filling the gap between JWST and ALMA.
