Exact model-matching control of linear discrete-time systems by periodic state or output feedback

The paper considers an exact model-matching control problem via periodic state-output feedback for discrete systems. A frequency-domain approach is employed in which the prototype system (model) is given by the transfer function G_m(z). The approach is based on equating the closed-loop transfer function G_c(Z) to G_m(z) and solving the resulting equation for the required feedback again. The solvability of this equation leads to the sufficient condition for the exact model-matching problem to have a solution. An example illustrates the proposed method.
