Abstract
The paper discusses the behaviour of a novel single-switch phase shifter. Analytical calculations are developed to obtain closed-form expressions for the scattering parameters of the proposed structure. The expressions are used to derive design curves for an ideal switch. Starting from these results, two phase shifters are designed in the case of a real switch, featuring good electrical performance together with small dimensions
