Abstract :
Digital technology allows us to manufacture on an ever more local scale. A second industrial revolution could be brewing, with personal fabrication technology enabling people to invent, innovate and learn new skills. Simply teaching people what´s possible with advanced digital manufacturing technologies can be a huge enabler for creativity, design and innovation. Digital fabrication is personal fabrication,says FabLab, a worldwide network of easy-access, high-tech workshops. While the technology is just a tool, you still need to be able to design for the process and figure out which process is best for you.
