Abstract :
Imaging polarimetry is an important tool for the study of cosmic magnetic fields. In our Galaxy, at submillimeter wavelengths polarization levels up to 10% are measured in the dust emission from molecular clouds and in the synchrotron emission from supernova remnants. We present here results from the commissioning of PolKa, a reflection-type polarimeter working in combination with the Large APEX Bolometer Camera on the Atacama Pathfinder Experiment.
