Abstract :
The authors present a new family of spreading sequences called Manchester-coded modified-Legendre codes. The new sequences are suitable for both single and multi-rate optical code-division multiplexing/multiple-access (OCDM/A) systems. Also, the implementation of proposed sequences on spectral-amplitude coding-based OCDM system is presented. The encoders use complementary encoding and common zero-code technique and decoding is achieved through simple correlation receiver. The numerical results obtained after analysing the bit error rate of the proposed systems reveals improved performance.
