Abstract
In this paper an embedded empirical mode decomposition (EMD) core with industry standard microprocessor interface is proposed. The core developed can easily be integrated with an embedded microprocessor system without any hardware level modifications. It can be easily utilized by using simple handles as part of the main software running on the microprocessor. The communication interface of the developed core performs two functions. First, it performs the control operations between the core and the microprocessor. It performs receiving the data as stream from the outside world and drives the computation results to the output as a second function. The core´s functionality can be easily utilized by using simple software handles.
