Abstract :
The authors correct the omission in the above-named work of a closely related reference by V.V. Bapesware Rao and V.K. Aatre (see Proc. IEEE, vol.62, p.1028-1029, July 1974). They were not aware that the problem of rational polynomial transformation was tackled by Bapesware Rao and Aatre. They point out, however, that their own derivation is more general, much simpler, and leads to a general algorithm for computation of transformed coefficients. They have also furnished formulas to obtain the entries in the first column and first row of the transformation matrix. These are needed in constructing and using the given recurrence relation.<>
