Abstract :
Cardiovascular disease is the leading killer and the major cause of disability in adults. Detection and analysis of heart sounds is an important (and economical) method that can be used to determine the state of the heart and great vessels. In this article we present a newly developed technique for detecting cardiac reserve in both healthy and diseased subjects using phonocardiography.
