Abstract :
A lane detection system based on one bit transform is presented in this paper. The utilization of lane detection systems as driver assist systems is increasing. The real-time operation requirement of lane detection systems is an important aspect. In this paper, a method that detects if the vehicle is outside the lane boundaries, by applying a simple one bit transform to the acquired image and counting the number of 1 valued pixels is proposed. This approach requires low computing power and is easy to implement.
