Abstract :
Each year the Instrument and Measurement Society appropriately recognizes the best published paper of the previous year. This award, named for this TRANSACTIONS former editor Andrew Chi, consists of a Certificate of Recognition and US$500, or up to US$1000 to be evenly divided in the ~nstance of multiple authorship. Paper selection is based on the ability of the author to communicate the subject matter to nonexperts. The paper judged the best from 1984 is "A Switched-Capacitor Digital Capacitance Bridge," coauthored by Dr. Kenzo Watanabe and Prof. Gabor C. Ternes, and published in the December 1984 issue of this TRANSACTIONS. Copies of their award certificates and brief biographies are included here for the record.
