Abstract :
We present our preliminary results combining and optimizing three techniques to accomplish broadband THz-TDS. THz generation from Cherenkov-type radiation using a ridge-type waveguide in a non-linear optical crystal (lithium niobate) has been successfully demonstrated. We adapted this method with optimized out coupling conditions. Reversed photoconductive antenna detection was shown to achieve broadband THz detection. Furthermore, current efforts yielded an enhancement of THz detection intensity by using a metal V groove structure to super focus the THz radiation onto a PCA. Here, we combine these two detection techniques.
