Abstract :
A low-cost fast Fourier transform (FFT) dynamic testing technique for data acquisition systems, comprising buffer, analog-to-digital converter (ADC), and sample/hold, is described. This provides an overall view of system performance, and also indicates the contribution to that performance of individual hybrid components in a signal processing chain of amplifier, multiplexer, sample/hole, and ADC, followed by RAM store.
