Abstract
We demonstrate a transition from insulating to conducting states in an aggregate of copper particles by an irradiation of intense terahertz (THz) pulses. The resistance of the aggregate is switched from a few kilo ohms to a few tens of ohms after the irradiation of the intense THz pulses. The time dependence of the resistance indicates that the switching is induced by a single THz pulse.
