Abstract :
IN OCTOBER LAST YEAR, the Free Software Foundation of Latin America (FSFLA) launched a campaign against ´Softwares Impostos´ in Brazil. ´Impostos´ means both ´taxes´ and ´imposed´ in Portuguese, and the campaign is meant to echo the call for ´Software Livre´ that has helped push free software in Brazil on government websites such as www.softwarelivre.gov.br.
