Abstract :
Listed on these two pages, you will find starting salaries offered by some of the leading technological, utility, and Fortune 500 companies. The salary information, from which these figures were taken, was compiled during the summer of 1981 from Peterson´s ThirdAnnuaISurvey of Career Opportunities for Engineers, Computer Scientists, and Physical Scientists. The companies listed here (some with several divisions), have at least 100 employees who are also members of the IEEE. These statistics have been adapted and reprinted, with permission, from Peterson´s Guide to Engineering, Science, and Computer Jobs 1982, compiled by Sandra Grundfest, Ed.D., Editor.
