A survey of magnetic force distributions based on different magnetization models and on the virtual work principle

This paper presents a methodical and comparative survey of magnetic force calculation methods found in literature and their relations. Further, on the basis of their physical background and of the force distributions they produce, some remarks on the use of these methods for calculating the deformation of magnetized material are formulated
