Abstract :
A static converter equipped with its control loop, and loaded by a nonlinear electromagnetic device is studied. Finite element method is used to model electromagnetic devices in 2D and the static converter circuit is studied in the state space. The static converter and electromagnetic device equations are then coupled and solved simultaneously. The saturation effects of the electromagnetic device are included. An application with a full bridge inverter controlled by a sliding mode control technique is presented
