Abstract :
THz phonon spectroscopy studies of Bi-2223 and Bi-2212 in a frequency range up to 25 THz are overviewed. The observed giant instability of I(V) - characteristics of Bi-2223 and Bi-2212 nanosteps is probably caused by emission of coherent 2Δ - optical phonons in a process of resonant recombination of nonequilibrium quasiparticles.
