Abstract :
Based on the process of expanding a discrete reactance function into Davis´ z-domain continued fractions and the use of the root-locus technique, we derive in this paper necessary and sufficient conditions for a polynomial to have all its zeros inside the unit circle. In addition, we present a procedure for counting the zero distribution of a polynomial with respect to the unit circle
