Abstract
This paper deals with the analysis of induction motors based on the magnetic field computation taking the ferromagnetic hysteresis into account. The vector Preisach hysteresis model is integrated in a two-dimensional time-stepping finite element analysis. The interface between the Preisach model and the finite element magnetic vector potential formulation is introduced through the Fixed-Point iterative technique. The developed computational scheme is applied for magnetic field and core loss computation of three cage induction motors
