Abstract :
The emphasis in this study is the application of the 4×6 power-switching concept for reliability enhancement and improved quality of power delivery, demonstrated by direct comparison with traditional schemes. The reliability concepts that underlie traditional schemes are discussed, followed by the ideas underlying the 4×6 concept. A truth-table approach is used to compare a traditional scheme with the 4×6 concept. The frequency and duration of the adverse consequences or adverse events that can result are calculated and compared. Some cost data and the conclusions are given
