Abstract :
More than 18 percent of the quarter million members of the IEEE are Student Members. Last year, student membership grew more than 12 percent, twice the 6 percent overall growth of IEEE membership. Student Members are, in large part, the future Members, Senior Members, and Fellows of the Institute. This is a healthy accelerated trend for the profession because of the contribution the IEEE can make to student performance and career preparation.
