Abstract :
The Internet will need a new layer of protocols on top of TCP/IP to stop it collapsing under the weight of many new clients and the threat of denial-of-service attacks from networks of compromised PCs. That was the verdict of Vint Cerf, vicepresident of technology strategy at MCI and one of the creators of the Internet, and Intel??s chief technology officer Pat Gelsinger at Intel??s recent developers?? conference in California.
