Abstract :
When Microsoft announced its next major upgrade from Windows XP and Windows Server 2003, many promises were made for the operating system known as Longhorn. This was to be a launch that would be as big as Windows 95, the operating system that turned Windows from a rather lumpy graphical interface into a fully fledged operating system that would drive the final nail in the coffin of MS-DOS.
