Abstract :
As you well know, “economic uncertainty” has been a key phrase for quite some time, and 1983 graduates certainly felt the impact of those words. Although interest rates were coming down, economic uncertainty during the 1982–83 academic year kept employers´ hiring to a minimum, and caution — not expansion — was the rule of the day.
