Abstract :
A technique using scatterer information and backwards ray tracing which can locate a target precisely in non-line of sight multipath conditions is proposed. The technique requires accurate measurement of angle of arrival, time of arrival (with reference to the first arriving ray) and Doppler shift for six arriving rays. Utilising auxiliary signal strength measurements can improve performance when measurement noise is present. Further improvement is demonstrated using a Kalman filter in a tracking scenario
