  • Abstract
The highest grade achievable within the IEEE is that of Fellow. It is not a grade that can be applied for by any Senior Member; rather, it is one bestowed through nomination by one´s peers and coworkers. The nominators must verify that the candidate´s achievements are extraordinary and that he(she) deserves to be part of a select group of recognized, outstanding, electrical engineers. Elevation to Fellow represents reaching the pinnacle in one´s profession and often is the greatest single professional recognition an engineer receives in his entire career.
