Abstract :
Hyperthermia, based on fever therapy as a cancer treatment has basically been abandoned in favor of ionizing radiation. In recent years, however, a renewed interest and effort in hyperthermia has taken place. Microwave radiometry can be used for measuring a patient´s temperature. Microwave radiometry applications to breast cancer detection and fluid and blood warming are described.
