Abstract :
In the early seventies when Steven Wexler was an undergraduate student majoring in biology at the State University of New York at Binghamton, all he knew about his career goals was that he was “interested in health-related fields.” Today, several years and a checkered career path later, he is the assistant chief of bioengineering for the entire Veterans Administration system.
