Abstract
The Engineering Education Scheme aims to provide an opportunity for high-quality lower-sixth students studying mathematics and physics at `A´ level in UK schools and colleges to experience the intellectual and creative challenges of engineering and to provide the seedcom of engineers into the 21st Century. This article describes how the Scheme operates, its advantages to the participating companies, schools and students and its position in a continuum of activities, overseen by The Royal Academy of Engineering, and stretching from the sixth form to postgraduate and professional development
