Abstract :
Nonthermal plasma discharges using fast-rise (<10 ns) and short-duration pulses (<100 ns) are likely to offer promising prospects for the removal of nitrogen oxides from flue gases and diesel engine exhausts. This is because the energy supplied into the discharge is primarily used to produce energetic electrons, which then create radicals such as N, O, and OH, which lead to the removal of nitrogen oxide pollutants.
