Abstract
This paper proposes good Discrete Frequency-Coding Waveform sets formed via digitizing the instantaneous frequency of analog Triangular FM code sets. Closed-form mathematical expressions are given in this paper using which the proposed waveform sets can be easily generated, after specifying the key design parameters. The proposed waveform sets are shown to possess very good correlation properties that are superior to existing Discrete Frequency-Coding Waveform sets in the literature. Moreover, a special case of the proposed sets is shown to have desirable Doppler properties in addition to the good correlation properties. The proposed sets are suited for MIMO radars and Orthogonal Netted Radar Systems.
