Abstract :
An analytical investigation of the electromagnetic properties of bianisotropic media is presented. The chirality and permittivity tensors have nonzero off-diagonal elements. The analytical expressions of the wavenumbers are obtained for an arbitrary direction of the wave propagation. Two particular cases are studied: the wave propagation along the bianisotropy axis and the wave propagation normal to the bianisotropy axis. The analytical expressions of the wavenumbers and the field components are written for both these cases, and an analysis of one is carried out
