Abstract :
Radiology computer networks are being developed for the management of digitally formatted data. Each digitally formatted imaging device is interfaced into the radiology network through image acquisition and formatting nodes. The interactive diagnosis display stations. (IDDS) provide a means of visualizing single or multi-device digitally formatted pictures. The IDDS node is an image display workstation. The discussion covers current management of digitally formatted data, the functions of network nodes, and digital radiology network system parameters.
