Abstract :
He may not have known it at the time, but Hadrian was probably one of the first career counselors and we are still struggling to fully understand and apply his advice regarding job fit. Most acknowledge that it is important to understand who we are before we look at who we should be. And most will agree that there is mutual benefit to employees and organizations when there is a good match between the employee and the job. But economic and business pressures are powerful and “square pegs” often end up in “round holes” to meet the needs of individuals and organizations.
