Abstract :
Initially, you are what you wear, at least in the opinion of most people. In a few sweeping glances, assessments are made about your character, intelligence, and ability to succeed based on appearance. People will revise their opinion for better or worse as they get to know you at work. (Years may pass before some “higher-ups” get the chance. Future co-workers may never even get the chance if you show up in jeans at the interview.) So take time to consider the image you will project at interviews, and on the job.
