Abstract :
For six months, I have had the pleasure, the challenge, and the job of being a United Nations consultant in Geneva. More precisely, there were two consultancies: one to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) on the non-economic aspects of the transfer of technology, and one to the World Health Organization (WHO) on the effects on mind and spirit of "e;modern"e; Western technology, and industrial ization in general.
